1- I'm just a girl figuring out how to be an adult
2 - Obviously love dinosaurs and other cool creatures
3 - My style of art is cartoon-ish, but I'm trying to learn other styles
4 - I'm just an artist, not an 'animal artist', 'furry artist' or any other kind of title, I just try to draw whatever I feel like doing without always doing the same thing/theme.
5 - Favs are great, but what I really love is comments, so it feels like theres more people looking and paying attention to my drawings...
(But I don't mind the fav-and-run, I do that too, and one-word-comments are awful)

She trained hard for this, worked on her skills and abilities, learned how to fight and use weapons. She knows exactly what she needs to do and what she is up against.
But she feels so fucking terrified.
Kathleen quickly uses her legs to push away the Metal Head Grunt from top of her and as fast as she can reaches for her rifle, the blue metal-armored reptile realizes what happened and recovers from the fall and goes in for another pounce, fortunately for Kat she manages to draw her rifle as soon as it comes for her and without hesitation pulls the trigger making the Metal Head’s skull burst into dark purple blood and shortly after its lifeless body falls right next to her.
Catching her breath she lets out a small sigh and calms down herself for a bit after going through that whole ordeal, feeling the pain and blood dripping from the recent open wound at the right side of her face she begins to feel like...she forgot something...something very important that she had to do before the Metal Head caught her by surprise and ended causing this injury and situation.
“AARGH LET ME GO!”
‘FUCK! I STILL NEED TO SAVE MARK!’ She thinks loudly to herself as soon as she hears Marcus scream. She gets up as fast as she can and prepares herself once again with her rifle and goes to rescue her friend and deal with whatever Metal Head might have taken him hostage.
As soon as she gets a good look on what’s going on she sees Marcus’s arm being help by the jaws of a monstrous Metal Head. The creature looked and made her feel...strange. She couldn’t help herself but stop and stare at it, even in the middle of the day, she couldn’t tell exactly what she is looking at, all that she could make out was its overall shape that looked similar to a bigger and buffer Sling Blaster yet its whole body is completely pitch black with glowing yellow eyes. She has never seen any Metal Head like this before and made her even more uneasy.
Noticing Kat observing it, the mounstrous Metal Head gives her a sickly evil grin and holds Marcus’s body with its right hand and starts slowly pulling him away from his arm that is still tighly constricted between its sharp teeth, making the defenseless elf scream in agony.
“AAAAGH! KAT DO SOMETHING!”
With that she tried to snap back from her trance and get herself ready into action once again...when she realizes something was wrong. Very wrong.
She couldn’t move.
Her whole body was paralyzed. She was perfectly still, it looked as if she was turned into a statue or frozen in time. Not a single muscle on her body showed any signs of movement, her eyelids wouldn’t budge and even her breathing seemed to have come to a halt.
‘What the!? WHAT’S GOING ON?!?’ She mentally shouts as she isn’t even able to move her mouth to make any type of sound.
The only thing she noticed that she still could do was to move her eyes, and so she decides to look around and ends up looking right back at the creature.
It looks right back at her with an even more twisted smile by seeing the desperation in her eyes, so it finally decides it’s time to pull further Marcus’s body away which causes to completely rip his arm off inducing him in a much louder and painful scream.
His cries sent a chill down her spine and made her panic furthermore, she tried and struggled even more to move her body and do something, anything!
Unfortunately it was all for nothing as her body was completely static as it was before, but it didn’t deter her from still wanting to rescue him.
‘Come on! I need to save hi-‘
Suddenly her thoughts are cut off as the Metal Head spits out Marcus’s arm and it lands right by her feet splashing some blood around, and all she can do is stare back at the sight in shock and horror.
Slowly she gazes back at the two and sees the creature having a very proud and sadistic look to its face while Marcus, still being held on by the monster’s right hand, seems to be shivering in pain and using his right hand to try to hold back the blood gushing out from his left arm, at least what is left of it, and by his expression it was easy to see the affliction through his eyes and clenched teeth.
“Why...why you let this happen to me?” He weakly says as he struggles to catch his breath from the intense pain he just felt minutes ago.
‘I just can’t move! Mark I’m not doing this on purpose!’ She desperately says to herself hoping those words will somehow come out of her mouth.
Much to her dismay the Metal Head lets out a loud roar and suddenly its whole body starts to shift and turn, Kat gets caught completely by surprise by what she is witnessing, its whole figure starts to contort and change its appearence by making its jaws bigger and sharper, its body much taller and muscles more stronger, overall it became more menacing and definitely scarier.
When it was completely done with its transformation the gigantic Metal Head looked down upon Kat and laughed at her. However she didn't pay much attention at his attempt to mock her, what worried her the most is that now Marcus's entire body was the size of the monster’s hand and he was completely clasped between its fingers and palm.
As soon Kat noticed Marcus in its grasp the Metal Head slightly changed its right hand's position to hold the upper body of the elf while its left hand holds his lower body.
It looks straight into Kat’s eyes and gives her another twisted smile, she quickly realizes what it is about to do.
‘DON’T YOU DARE TO DO THIS! I SWEAR TO THE PRECURSORS I WILL FIND A WAY TO KILL YOU, YOU FUCKING FREAK!’
Just as before she could only stand there and watch.
The Metal Head started to slowly pull Marcus apart and his cries and screams started to become each time louder and more horrifying while Kat mentally cursed the monster as she desperately tried to move, with no results, making her feel completely and utterly useless in this position with the only option left she had that was just to cry.
She didn’t know what else to do, she wanted to end this but it just kept getting worse.
Soon blood started to flow from between the Metal Head’s fingers and Marcus just kept screaming and agonizing through the whole thing, she couldn’t take this anymore, suddenly the sound of bones breaking could be heard and when he was very close to snap the Metal Head quickly pull-
She immediately sat up from where she fell and shot her eyes wide open frantically looked around trying to figure out what was going on and what she had to do, in just a few seconds she started to make sense of everything and mentally spoke to herself.
‘I’m...I’m in my living room.’
Slowly she started to breathe normally and calming down herself by putting her mind at ease.
‘I’m fine, none of that happened, stop worrying, Marcus is fine, Marcus is alive, we’re both alive.”
After repeating that sentence to herself for a few more times she finally felt much better and now could finally pay more attention to her surroundings. At front she can see her TV is still On and airing some random program she doesn’t really care about, but seems to be about selling miscellaneous products, so she concludes she must have fallen asleep while she was still watching something earlier and then the nightmare caused her to fall from her couch.
‘I guess I’m glad that happened, would hate to think where that could have gone to if I kept on sleeping.’
At the corner of her eye she notices behind the left side of the couch her pet Crocadog, Tyrant, peeking in and looking at her confused and startled, probably from her falling from the couch, or probably screaming in her sleep, or maybe both.
She reaches up to him and starts petting him on the head and softly starts talking to her reptilian canine companion.
“Hey buddy don’t worry, it was nothing. It was just one of those stupid nightmares again, go back to sleep okay?” She reassures her pet as she continues on petting him and stops as soon he seems to calm himself down.
Still sitting down on the floor she looks around for the remote, which she spots it at the top of the couch, slightly moving and using her left arm to grab it she proceeds to finally turn off the TV and throws carelessly the remote back on where she found it.
After a few more seconds of doing nothing and just staying in place she decides to get herself up and properly sit down on the couch, since the floor isn't as comfortable as cushions, she once again just stays there sitting, pondering, not really sure what to do now.
Carefully she brings her right hand to her face and slowly moves her fingers and feeling around her scar.
‘It’s been almost a year, A YEAR! And I’m still getting nightmares about that.’
After the whole incident of rescuing Marcus and then having to go fight against the Metal Heads and KG Death Bots she thought she would certainly have a little bit of peace.
However luck wasn’t really on her side and that is when her nightmares started. At first they were precisely the same moments she experienced that day so she was just reliving those memories over and over again, almost every night, she barely had any sleep and that’s when she felt the most tired on her entire life for such a long period of time. After some weeks or months, after helping out with Marcus’s recovery she felt that the nightmares started to happen less and less, and fortunately for her sanity, they only really happen once in a while now.
The nightmares also started to change, they don't seem as real as they were before and stopped being exact recreations of the events that took place that day, they turned more...abstract and different. But it doesn’t mean it made them any less traumatizing, gruesome and terrifying when they do happen.
Resting her head onto her hand, she sighs, and wistfully whispers to herself.
“They won't really ever stop, will they?”
